Disability That Connects People - a meeting in Landshut.

The project had 20 participants, including eight representatives of Bonin Foundation and 12 representatives of Landshuter Werkstatten GmbH Einrichtung der Lebenshilfe Landshut e.V.

The participants from Poland visited a centre for people with intellectual disabilities in Landshut and apartments for mentally disabled people. They also learned about the German sound therapy method used to help people with learning disabilities.

The German partners shared their experiences related to the employment of people with disabilities, providing them with early support, and organising accommodation, recreation and leisure. Bonin Foundation presented its activity and experiences in organising integration events for people with disabilities and the inhabitants of villages in Łobez County. The participants also discussed further co-operation of both organisations, incuding the date and preliminary programme of the German partners’ return visit to Poland in 2009.
